The 19th Galway Scouts had a great day out on Sunday 29th in the Burren, Co Clare. Scouts were introduced to Rock Climbing and some basic compass/map reading skills while navigating to the top of Moneen.

The 19th Galway Scouts had a great day out on Sunday 22nd in the National Water Aquatic Centred in Killaloe with over 100 scouts from County Galway attending. The activities included Kayaking, Sailing, Canoeing, Climbing Wall, Bungee Run and Water Slide. Everyone enjoyed themselves, made new scouting froends and went home tired.

A big thank you to Fossetts Circus for providing the opportunity for the Athenry Cubs and Scouts to attend your wonderful circus on Thursday 19th September.
Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed themselves. The Wheel of Death was a favourite.
Welcome back to all our Cubs both new and existing. Our first meeting of the new scouting year was held on Tuesday 10th September. The Cubs are busy thinking of activities they would like to pursue during the year.
Welcome to all of our new Scout members. This is the first year we have run a Scout section so it is a learning experience for both Scouts and Adults.
Good luck to the four Athenry Cubs who will be undertaking their 20 Km Expedition walk as part of their Chief Scout Award on Saturday 7th September.
