Well done to those scouts in the Tiger and Mercat Patrols who participated in the Galway County Scouts Challenge Day in Galway City. The day involved a timed treasure hunt around Galway city with several activity bases such as Knots, First Aid, Flight etc. to be completed.
Well done to all of the Leaders who have recently completed various stage of the Wood Badge Training Scheme especially for giving up a Saturday, Sunday or in the case of Stage 6 the entire weekend.
The scouts had a mini orienteering night on Tuesday 28th Jan from 19:30 to 21:00 in Derrydonnel forest. The scouts navigated using compasses and a map in the dark. Upon their safe return the made some tea and coffee using two Trangias.
