Scout Camp Inis Oir

As Scouts progress from the Cub Section to the Scout Section and as they progress through the Adventure Skills Badges they assume a greater degree of responsibility for organising and planning their own activities. As part of this years activities, the Scouts requested a visit to the Aran Islands.

Several of the Scouts researched the costs including ferry costs, camp fees etc. Based on this research the Scouts camped on Inis Oir from Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st.

Some Island exploration was undertaken,

The high light for many was the opportunity to use the fire hose and spray some water although a few of the Scouters looked a bit worried. See all of the photographs.IMG_6154 IMG_6159 IMG_6201
