The scouts had an exciting weekend camping in Esker Monastery, Athenry. This camp was a preparation camp for County Camp in 4 weeks time. Activities included tent pitching, pioneering, fire making, backwoods cooking and of course a traditional camp fire.

For the backwoods cooking some Trout was wrapped in cabbage leaves and placed in the embers of the fire for 15 minutes. Several scouts discovered that they actually like fish.
